Keynote Events

The EUGEO 2027 Keynote Events will provide some of the central moments of the Congress, bringing together leading scholars from across the broad spectrum of geographical research.

Reflecting the diversity of geography itself, the keynote programme will explore different dimensions of Societies in Transition, spanning human and economic geography, political and urban transformations, physical geography, environmental change, hazards and risk, and the multiple connections between society and the environment.

Rather than adopting a single format, EUGEO 2027 will feature a variety of keynote events. Alongside traditional keynote lectures, the programme will include conversations and panel discussions designed to bring different perspectives into dialogue and encourage debate across geographical traditions and fields.
