Code of Conduct

The organisers of EUGEO 2027 – The 11th EUGEO Congress on the Geography of Europe are committed to creating a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.

The conference welcomes scholars, researchers, students, and practitioners from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. All participants are expected to contribute to a safe and constructive atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

Expected behaviour

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
  • Engage in discussions in a constructive and collegial manner
  • Respect differences in viewpoints, research approaches, and academic traditions
  • Follow the instructions and guidance provided by the organisers and session chairs

Unacceptable behaviour

The following behaviours will not be tolerated during the conference or related events:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or career stage
  • Disruptive behaviour during sessions, presentations, or conference activities
  • Inappropriate or offensive verbal or written communication
  • Any behaviour that threatens the safety or wellbeing of other participants

Reporting concerns

Participants who experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct are encouraged to report the incident to the conference organisers.

Reports will be treated seriously and handled with discretion. The organising committee reserves the right to take appropriate actions, which may include warnings, removal from sessions, or removal from the conference.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all conference activities, including:

  • scientific sessions
  • workshops and meetings
  • poster sessions
  • social events organised as part of the conference

Acceptance

By participating in EUGEO 2027, all participants agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and to contribute to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for all attendees.
