The call for session proposals invites scholars to organise thematic sessions addressing key debates within geography and related disciplines. Sessions should engage with the conference theme “Societies in Transition” or with broader geographical research topics.
Proposals should include a session title, a short description of the topic, and the names and affiliations of the convenors.
Timeline
Further submission guidelines will be provided on this page.
To ensure the proper organisation of the conference programme, each accepted session must receive a minimum number of four abstracts during the Call for Abstracts phase.
For each confirmed session, at least one of the session proposers must register for the conference and act as session chair and organisational coordinator. The convenor will be responsible for coordinating the session, moderating presentations, and ensuring the smooth running of the session during the conference.
Session convenors may also choose to present a paper within their session. In this case, only one paper per convenor may be submitted and presented.
If a proposed session does not receive the minimum number of abstracts, the organising committee reserves the right to merge the session with other similar sessions or to reassign individual papers to other thematic sessions within the programme.
Sessions that reach this minimum threshold will be included in the final programme. For each confirmed session, at least one of the session convenors is required to register for the conference.
Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for presentation within the accepted thematic sessions of the conference.
Abstracts should clearly present the research question, methodological approach, and main findings or expected contributions.
Timeline
Detailed submission instructions will be published once the session draft programme is finalised.
